Photographer Tara Bielecki takes us on a journey into an enchanted garden on this breathtaking styled shoot. She and her creative team transformed the Denver Botanic Gardens into a lush garden wedding celebrating rich jewel tones and luxury blooms. Tara said they were reaching for “a black tie summer garden wedding”.
When we opened this gallery for the first time, our team fell in love immediately. Everything about it—from the luxe floral design to the awe-inspiring gown spoke to the the brand essence we are working to create for Our Love In Color.
The Claire Pettibone Gown was certainly a showstopper in this exquisite styled shoot. Tara said, “Thanks to Claire Pettibone's meticulous detail from her Vagabond line, the wedding gown lent the perfect inspiration for us to celebrate color. We are huge Claire Pettibone fans! I’ve worked with Claire's gowns several times this past year and there's nothing that compares to the amount of detail and thought put into the creation of each of her gowns. We wanted brides to see that it's possible to wear a dress with color and it still be elegant and timeless.”
At Our Love In Color, we love outdoor weddings and venues that embrace natural light. We are in love with all of the beautiful garden locations and the glass greenhouse showcased in this shoot. Tara said, “We love the old world architecture of the glass greenhouse. Outside, the way natural light dances around the surrounding gardens into the space is just a dream! It would make the perfect location for a ceremony or intimate reception space.”
We couldn’t get over all of the rich hues celebrated in the design for this shoot. Tara said, “The color palette was directly inspired by Claire Pettibone's Santorini gown. Bare Root Flora so perfectly recreated the colors in her floral designs and we softened the scene with luxurious blues. We were able to ground all of the color by carrying shades of blue through the invitation suite, linens, and the groom's suit. I feel like this really elevated the various colors we were working with from the gown and florals.”
The floral design may have stole the show on this gorgeous styled shoot. Robyn from Bare Root Flora reached for spring/early summer blooms when it came time to design these lovely pastel masterpieces. She was able to recreate the beautiful detail of the wedding gown by using sweet peas, peonies, roses, ranunculus, lisianthus, delphinium, and allium tweedia to name a few.
Tara said, “My favorite part of the shoot has to be the connection between the bride and groom. It's my goal that every photo I produce evokes a feeling, has a strong connection between the subjects, and tells an honest story. I really feel like we accomplished something that yes is luxurious, but I also feel like this editorial evokes so much joy and that is true to who these two people are at their core as well.”
Tara certainly achieved her goal. This styled shoot was magical. We will have more of these beautiful images in Vol. I of Our Love In Color. Sign up for our email list to be among the first to receive a free digital copy of the magazine!
