My name is Shareea, and I am the founder of Our Love In Color!
When I planned my own wedding 7 years ago, I was disappointed to see how few of the blogs I loved featured brides who looked like me.
It’s been a long journey, but I am finally launching the media company I wished existed when I got engaged. Our Love In Color celebrates women of color—in all of our wondrous tones, shapes, and glory. We’re not just finding amazing content to share, we’re building a tribe of creatives who share our values. Together, we’re going to make wedding magic.
If you love outdoor weddings, fine art photography, love stories, and all the pretty little details that make weddings special—You belong here. I can’t wait to meet you!
THREE FUN FACTS ABOUT ME
I am a photographer. I thought I wanted to be a wedding photographer when I started, but I fell in love with portraits. Newborns were my favorite because they generally slept the whole time. I don’t shoot professionally right now because I’m busy building Our Love In Color, working full-time, and raising a 4-year-old.
I went to Harvard. Don’t worry! I’m still very cool and fun to be around :). I went to Harvard to study Public Policy, and now I work for a non-profit. I’m grateful to use the knowledge I gained to help people everyday.
My husband and I planned our destination wedding on a $10,000 budget. We got married at an all-inclusive resort in Cancun with 40 of our family and friends in attendance. My wedding day was one of the best days of my life.
